This place always provides a refreshing experience. The interior is simple and clean, and the staff attentive. I love pad see-ew, and I really enjoy this restaurant'a take on it. The sauce isn't as dark as most, which provides a lighter (but still rich) flavor. And, of course, the Thai tea is fantastic!
This is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant. The food and staff are fantastic, and it is well worth the price. Thai Number 9 does handle takeout orders, however it is CALL IN ONLY. There is currently not a website, so be wary of scammers trying to take advantage of both you and the restaurant.
They don't play when it comes to the spice levels. In town for work and stopped by for some Thai and so glad we did. We arrived during the dinner rush and waited patiently to order after the 3 other parties that were before us. We got pad Thai and pad see ew. There are only three spice levels. We wanted to play it safe and did medium for both dishes. When our food came you could see the dusting of chili powder and I wish I took a picture. I was so glad that we stuck with medium. It was *almost* too much for me and I love spicy food. On my way to the restroom I saw a sign saying no refunds if the dish ends up being too spicy. Heed their warning! I chatted with the lady during check out and she said her sister makes the chili powder. It is a bit on the pricey side but it was delicious!
Great food. Try Massaman. Green Curry, Drunken noodles. Medium is quite hot by Colorado standards, as it should be. I wish there were more ingredients in the salad rolls/fresh spring rolls. Basil? Bean sprouts? Either way, the peanut sauce rocks which is all that really matters with those. I've been eating here for many years and the service has always been great.
So nice to know there is tasty Thai food in Grand Junction. We had gluten free Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. There are many gluten free options!
